Colossians 1:28–29 (NKJV): "28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. 29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily."
Mark has been married to Rene' for over 30 years and has been blessed with two wonderful children, Turner and Alex. As soon as Mark and Rene' were married they moved to Denver and there Mark began pastoring and has continued with Front Range Bible Church for more than 30 years with over 6000 hours of scripturally based teaching. Sharing a clear Gospel, encouraging love for God and others and growing his sheep on towards maturity has been his focus. He has been blessed to pastor this great group of believers who love the Lord and His Word; who have raised their children in godly homes and served their Lord faithfully through many challenges, illnesses and griefs. What a privilege to teach, lead, and serve alongside them all.
Mark became a believer in Jesus Christ at a Christian camp in California on New Years Eve when he was fourteen years old. After witnessing the death of a stranger on the side of the road, he recognized how brief life was and his great need for a Savior to save him from his sinful self and remove that fear and worry of death.
Soon after his salvation he felt the call to be a missionary and pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Literature at Azusa Pacific University in 1982, a Master of Divinity in New Testament at Talbot Seminary in 1985 and went on to pursue various Classical Studies at University of Houston from 1986-87. Along this learning timeline he realized God was calling him to pastor a local church in Denver, Colorado.
In the mountains of Colorado he found the perfect place to continue his love for backpacking and fishing in the back country. Here he has had another ministry to teens and adults for over 40 wilderness trips where he shares his love of Creation and the Creator with all along the way.
Presently Mark shares God's wisdom on several boards and is writing curriculum for a college where he serves to encourage this next generation of godly men and women. He has also authored several articles and is in the process of completing a book on the Genative Absolute as used in the greek New Testament. He has enjoyed his time on short term mission trips to Ukraine, Cuba, Costa Rica, Canada and French Polynesia.
